My electric oven won't turn off. (self.appliancerepair) submitted 3 years ago by jdsamford. i turned off the oven from the breaker and pulled it out from the wall to unplug it and let it cool down for a while. once it was cool, i plugged it back in and switched it on, and the bottom coil was immediately too hot to touch.. Turned it off after using it last night – looked off, but the oven just kept getting really hot (like it was on max), and the fan kept running too. ended up having to turn it off at the mains. turned the mains back on this morning and all seemed ok.. My miele oven won't turn off! when i turn the temperature and functions dials to "off" the oven keeps going. i checked the timers and they are all set to "0". so everything appears off but i can hear a humming noise and the oven is still producing heat. it does this until i turn the oven off at the wall..
